Representing the interests of the municipality of Riga as the owner of the non-privatised part (apartments) of the residential house, in exercising the sale of ownership, the Housing and Environment Department of the Riga City Council (hereinafter - Department):
1. Authorise his representative to participate in the general meeting of apartment owners and prepare written responses to surveys conducted by apartment owners.
2. Contracts related to the possession of the residential space shall be entered into.
3. Review the submissions of tenants, apartment owners or the house manager regarding problems and evaluate the conformity of the actions of the parties with the requirements of regulatory enactments.

Process description

  1. Service requests
    The submitter shall arrive at the Kancelejā of the Department or the Department for the Management of Rent and Social Apartments and submit an application regarding the time and place of the general meeting or the submitter shall send the application to the Department by post or by electronic means.

  2. Receipt of services
    A representative of the department shall attend the general meeting.
    Information on the participation of the representative in the general meeting may be received on the spot or on the telephone.
