A person who wishes to inform the city's residents and guests about any event should refer to the Riga City Council City Development Department with a submission and a mock-up of the display, asking to ensure that the posters are placed on the display poles and stands owned by the local government.
The placement of posters is ensured following the payment statement prepared by the City Development Department of Riga City Council regarding the payment of the local government fee.

Process description

  1. Service requests
    The customer addresses the service in person, electronically, or by mail. When requesting a service in person, the customer shall turn to the City Development Department of Riga City Council, leaving the documents in a specially designed document cabinet, or to the Riga City residents center, leaving the documents in a dedicated mailbox for them.
    When requesting the service electronically, the client shall submit a submission, which has been prepared in conformity with the regulatory enactments regarding the drawing up of electronic documents, certified with a secure electronic signature, time stamp and display mock-up.
    When requesting a service by mail, the customer sends a completed form and display mock-up.
    Receipt of services documents required:
    1. “Application for the placement of banners” (form No. Da_117_v2)
    2. A mock-up of the display.

  2. A service charge
    The display fee on a display post or stand owned by the Riga municipality is calculated according to the binding regulations of Riga City Council 01.08.2006, No 51 “On the municipal fee for advertising, display, advertisement in Riga” item 15.1, according to the formula N = B x L x Z x T x Zi, where N – charged for one display per day; B the base rate of the billing fee of EUR 0,18; L – display area; Z – zone ratio; T – thematic factor; Zi - the factor for the fee for the use of a poster post or stand belonging to the municipality of Riga for one display per day is 3.
    The municipal fee for placing a single display in Zone 1 (with a zoning factor of 4) shall be EUR 1,08, EUR 2 (with a zone coefficient of EUR 3) - EUR 0,81, in Zone 3 (with a zone factor of 2) - EUR 0,54 per day.
